Designed by an enthusiast. Built with intent.
OEM+ Aero began as a personal design project.
Like many enthusiasts, I appreciated the engineering capability of modern performance-adjacent cars — but felt that visually, many stopped just short of expressing what they were truly capable of. The underlying proportions were strong, the surfaces well resolved, yet the final form felt conservative, shared across multiple variants regardless of performance.
After exploring the aftermarket, I couldn’t find a solution that felt right.
Most options were either:
-
Too subtle to meaningfully change the car’s presence, or
-
Too aggressive, requiring permanent modification or imitating higher-tier models.
I wasn’t looking to transform the car — only to evolve it.
Designing in the OEM+ Spirit
Rather than reinventing the form, I started by studying the factory surfacing.
The aim was simple:
-
Work with the original design language
-
Extend the existing planes and proportions
-
Preserve balance, restraint, and intent
The design focused on how the arches could be widened just enough to give the car visual authority — without exaggeration, and without compromising usability.
Every iteration was test-fitted, refined, and reassessed. The process moved through multiple prototypes and, ultimately, a fully blended version to perfect the final silhouette.
The blended prototype wasn’t the end goal — it was a design tool.
It allowed the form to be resolved before engineering a production-ready solution that could be installed cleanly and reversibly.
From Personal Project to Production
The decision to bring the design into production wasn’t planned from the outset.
As images of the prototype were shared within the enthusiast community, the response was consistent and unsolicited. The feedback wasn’t about novelty or aggression — it was about balance.

That response confirmed there was space for a different kind of aftermarket product — one driven by design philosophy rather than extremes.
OEM+ Aero exists to fill that space.
Why OEM+ Aero
OEM+ Aero is not about trends or catalog parts.
It’s about:
-
Enhancing factory design logic
-
Respecting the original designer’s intent
-
Offering solutions that enthusiasts can live with — daily
Every product is approached with the same principles:
-
Intentional restraint
-
Real-world fitment
-
Reversible installation
-
Honest representation
OEM+ Aero is built by an enthusiast, for enthusiasts who value clarity of design as much as performance.
Looking Forward
The BMW F22 overfenders are the first OEM+ Aero product.
Future platforms will follow the same philosophy — whether BMW, VW, Ford, or beyond — with each design developed independently and intentionally, rather than scaled generically.
OEM+ isn’t a look.
It’s an approach.
